On November 21, at Bulgaria Hall, the Sofia Boys’ Choir took part in the solemn concert dedicated to the Feast of the Entry of the Most Holy Mother of God into the Temple – the Day of Christian Youth and the Christian Family.
His Holiness Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria was present at the concert. Following their performance, the ensemble was honored by the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church with the newly established Order of Merit “Ioan Kukuzel.” This high ecclesiastical distinction was awarded to the Sofia Boys’ Choir and Prof. Dr. Adriana Blagoeva for their significant contribution to the preservation and promotion of Church Slavonic music in Bulgaria and worldwide, as well as on the occasion of the choir’s 50th anniversary.
