On 24 May—the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture, and Slavic literacy—at a solemn ceremony held in front of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, the Regional Department of Education – Sofia City honoured Alexander Mitev, conductor of the Sofia Boys’ Choir and music teacher at the 32nd Secondary School “St. Kliment Ohridski”, with a Certificate of Merit and the “Owl” statuette, in recognition of his contribution to education in the capital.
The award was presented by Vanya Kastreva, Head of the Regional Department of Education – Sofia City.
