On 10 December 2022, at 6:00 p.m., a jubilee concert celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Youth Ensemble of the Sofia Boys’ Choir will take place in the Grand Hall of the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”.
Admission is free.
The concert is presented by the Association “Sofia Boys’ Choir”, just two months after the highly successful First International Choral Festival “The Boys Are Singing” – Sofia 2022, held in mid-October.
The Youth Ensemble of the Sofia Boys’ Choir at the Community Cultural Centre “Tsar Boris III – 1928” was founded on 1 November 1997 by Adriana Blagoeva. It was created to meet the artistic need of choristers to continue their vocal and concert activity after the period of voice change. The Youth Ensemble performs both independently and together with the boys’ choir, forming a mixed ensemble. In this way, the artistic and repertoire possibilities of the Sofia Boys’ Choir have been significantly expanded.
After a two-year interruption due to the COVID crisis, the Youth Ensemble has now fully resumed its concert activity with a substantially renewed line-up and, with pride and joy, invites audiences to attend this anniversary concert.
