On June 16, 2019, the Sofia Boys’ Choir at Chitalishte “Tsar Boris III – 1928”, conducted by Prof. Dr. Adriana Blagoeva, took part in the opening of the 6th International Festival of Sacred Music “Musical Edict” in Niš, Serbia.
The choir’s concert program featured ten works by P. Dinev, V. Titov, St. Degtyaryov, Al. Turenkov, Al. Kastalsky, S. Trubachov, and others. The performance was met with great success and received enthusiastic ovations from the audience. The soloist was Alexander Mitev, bass-baritone, assistant conductor, and member of the Youth Formation.
The “Musical Edict” Festival has been held biennially since 2009. This year’s edition took place from June 16 to 19, featuring choirs from ten countries: Serbia, Bulgaria, the USA, Mexico, Poland, the United Kingdom, Belarus, Russia, Greece, and Italy.
