On April 29, 2019, at St. Paraskeva Church in Sofia, the Sofia Boys’ Choir, conducted by Prof. Dr. Adriana Blagoeva, presented its traditional Easter concert.
The event was organized by the Sofia Metropolis with the blessing of His Holiness Neophyte, Patriarch of Bulgaria and Metropolitan of Sofia, and was broadcast live by BNT 2.
The program featured works by Bulgarian and Russian composers, including Dobri Hristov, Petar Dinev, Stoyan Babekov, Alexander Arkhangelsky, Alexander Kastalsky, Alexey Turenkov, Father Sergey Trubachev, among others.
The concert was hosted by Archpriest Dr. Kiril Popov.
Soloist of the evening was bass-baritone Alexander Mitev, choirmaster of the ensemble.
The concert was honored by the presence of His Grace Bishop Polycarp of Belogradchik, Vicar of the Metropolitan of Sofia, who conveyed Easter greetings to the performers and audience on behalf of His Holiness Patriarch Neophyte.
