In November 2014, the brochure “We Are the Future”— a catalogue of children’s choirs from European Union member states—was published. This 60-page booklet features one children’s choir from each EU capital, highlighting their respective countries through music.
The Sofia Boys’ Choir represents both Sofia and Bulgaria in this publication—an important recognition of the ensemble’s high artistic standards. Each choir is presented on a dedicated page that includes both written information and photographs. The same amount of space is allocated for introducing each capital city.
At the end of the brochure—which is a deluxe edition, richly illustrated in color—a CD is included featuring recordings of the participating choirs. The Sofia Boys’ Choir is represented by Dobri Hristov’s song “Stani, Stani, Momne Le”, taken from their latest album “Folklore Impressions.”
The brochure is the work of the Croatian-German Society – Split, in cooperation with the association “Europe Without Borders” – Split.
A total of 500 copies have been printed and distributed among the EU member states. In Bulgaria, copies have been allocated to the Ministry of Culture, the Mayor of Sofia Municipality, and the administration of the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov.”
