The 25th traditional Christmas Concert of the Sofia Boys’ Choir will take place on 25 December at 6:00 PM in Bulgaria Hall. The event is organized by the Sofia Philharmonic in collaboration with the Quarto Quartet. The young musicians of the Quarto Quartet, under the direction of violinist Ivan Penchev, will present the anniversary Christmas concert of the Sofia Boys’ Choir, conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adriana Blagoeva, under the title “Christmas with Friends.”
The program promises a true aesthetic delight for music lovers and fans of both the choir and the Quarto Quartet. It will feature works from the Church Slavonic repertoire, as well as compositions by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Ludwig Spohr, and others. Special guests include violinist Ivan Vаglarov, vocalists Ralitsa Ralinova and Vladimir Gegov, flutist Hristo Pavlov, and organist Prof. Atanas Atanasov.
Tickets, priced up to 10 BGN, are available at the Sofia Philharmonic box office at Bulgaria Hall, 1 Aksakov Street, which will be open on 25 December from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
