In early February 2022, the Sofia Boys’ Choir, conducted by Adriana Blagoeva, released its new compact disc entitled “Opera Choruses.”
Being the choir’s thirteenth album, it represents a new and distinctive addition to the ensemble’s rich and diverse discography. The recording includes excerpts from 15 operatic works by German, Italian, French, Czech, and Russian composers, as well as two excerpts from operettas by Bulgarian composers. The recordings were made in two sessions – in 2000 and 2011 – with piano accompaniment by Ivelina Kazandzhieva and Zornitsa Getova.
