
Figures of Culture Honoured
“The consistency of your efforts, the immense energy with which you work for the spiritual and cultural advancement of our nation, and your ability to attract new followers and like-minded people to your noble cause have earned the respect of our entire society,” emphasised the Head of State during the ceremony held in the Coat of Arms Hall at Dondukov 2.
Prof. Adriana Blagoeva was awarded the Order of “Sts. Cyril and Methodius” – First Class for her outstanding merits in the field of culture and the arts.
Prof. Adriana Blagoeva is a distinguished choral conductor and respected pedagogue. She has been the conductor of the Sofia Boys’ Choir at Chitalishte “Tsar Boris III – 1928” since 1989 and currently serves as Vice-Rector of the National Academy of Music “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov.” She is the recipient of numerous awards, author of scholarly articles, and participant in conferences on issues of choral singing and music education.
In his address, President Rumen Radev noted that the rich biographies of the honourees are proof of their significant contribution to the cultural and public life of Bulgaria, while their remarkable achievements form an integral part of the prestige of contemporary Bulgarian art.
“Their brilliant talent and commanding professionalism have enriched — and continue to enrich — the choral, ballet, theatrical, and cinematic arts, consistently upholding the highest aesthetic and professional standards,” the President further emphasised.
