The 27th Traditional Christmas Concert of the Sofia Boys’ Choir at the Community Cultural Centre “Tsar Boris III – 1928”, conducted by Adriana Blagoeva, Prof. PhD, will take place on 25 December 2015 (Thursday) at 6:00 p.m. in the Bulgaria Concert Hall.
The distinguished tenor Nikolay Motsov and guitarist Rossen Balkanski will appear as special guests of the Christmas concert. The two outstanding musicians will present both solo performances and joint appearances with the choir.
For this year’s 27th Christmas Concert, the Sofia Boys’ Choir will perform together with soloists of the Sofia Philharmonic.
Piano accompaniment: Zornitsa Getova.
The programme includes well-known and rarely performed Christmas songs from various European countries. The arrangements are by Atanas Atanasov, Prof. PhD, composer and long-time organist of the ensemble.
A cherished tradition of the choir’s Christmas concerts is the performance of Bulgarian Christmas carols. This year’s programme will also feature premiere performances of newly arranged Bulgarian carols, presented to the audience for the first time.
