On 24 October 2019, at 7:00 p.m., the Sofia Boys’ Choir at the Community Cultural Centre “Tsar Boris III – 1928” will present a solo concert as part of the 30th edition of the Days of Japanese Culture in Bulgaria.
The concert will take place in the Concert Hall of the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov” and will mark the presentation of the choir’s latest album, Sofia Boys in Japan, released in 2019.
The Days of Japanese Culture in Bulgaria festival introduces Bulgarian audiences to the rich traditions of Japanese culture, bringing together cinema, theatre, exhibitions, and live demonstrations. Launched in 1990 through the initiative of Takashi Tadjima, then Ambassador of Japan to Bulgaria, the festival has grown into a long-standing cultural tradition. Over the years, it has continued to build lasting bridges of cultural exchange and friendship between the Bulgarian and Japanese peoples.
The festival is organized by the Embassy of Japan in Bulgaria, with the kind support of the Friends of Japan in Bulgaria – Nihon Tomono Kai.
